The Assistant Director of Community Services works closely with the Director to coordinate all activities of the Community Services Department including case management, financial literacy and outreach activities. Provides leadership in the implementation of programs and initiatives, supervises, directs, and evaluates staff, works to assure high quality, cost-effective program components, and takes an active role in the development and oversight of program budgets. The Assistant Director will monitor the reporting of case management service outcomes to assure that TribeWare software system accurately compiles data to measure National Performance Indicators, and ensures timely reporting to all funding sources. The Community Services Department represents the core vision of a Community Action Agency under the Community Services Block Grant and must coordinate with other agency programs to ensure compliance with all federal and state guidelines and that the agency exemplifies the vision of “no wrong door” in the provision of services and activities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of five years of related work experience, two of which were administrative and supervisory in nature.
- Experience in social program planning and federal/state grant administration and compliance.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Experience leading and managing staff in multiple locations.
- Sensitivity to diverse cultures, races, and knowledge of low-income family situations.
- Have a valid driver’s license and access to daily, reliable and insured transportation.
