GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Assistant Director of Donor Relations is responsible for supporting the systematic engagement and stewardship activities of the division and the University under the guidance and oversight of the Director.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Key staffer responsible for the management of various software programs and their integration with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, including the reporting platform Mythos, the video delivery platform ThankView, and others as added. Works with senior staff as a member of implementation teams for new software applications.
  • Create and run queries, exports, and reports from Raiser’s Edge to retrieve information for donor impact reports and metrics.
  • Record all stewardship actions on donor records.
  • Responsible for presidential thank-you letters.
  • Responsible for presidential birthday messages.
  • Work with the Director to manage the annual scholarship awarding and stewardship process, including providing accurate fund data to ensure timely awarding by Financial Aid, matching students on financial aid with donor-funded scholarships, contacting student recipients for profiles, and drafting reports to scholarship donors.
  • Work with the Office of Financial Aid and the Business Office to regularly obtain and load accurate scholarship recipient information into systems.
  • Ensure regular audit of all scholarship and prize funds to ensure updated restrictions and fund availability.
  • Coordinate and supervise special stewardship videos for donors in conjunction with Director.
  • With the Director, support key events and programming for donor events, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, and Special Events teams. Provide administrative and on-site support for stewardship and presidential events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least four years of nonprofit development experience, preferably higher education.
  • Experience with gift software and database queries, reports, and exports, preferably in Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products, intermediate or better knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to maintain effective, consistent, and constructive communication with colleagues within and outside of the Office of Advancement.
  • Demonstrated ability to write professionally and elegantly. Writing samples are required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize.
  • Energetic and positive professional who works well in a team environment

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
