The Assistant Rental Manager is responsible for providing the highest level of guest satisfaction to owners and guests to ensure the continuous delivery of hospitality, professionalism, and consistency. This position will assist with supervision of rental staff, providing excellent customer service via face to face, phone, email, text, written, etc. conflict resolution with tenant and homeowners, inspections, evictions, keeping the workload in the office flowing smoothly, and all other areas as requested by rental manager. Must have a NC Real Estate Broker License.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

  • Ensure excellence in hospitality, highest level of guest and owner satisfaction, is provided to all owners and guests.
  • Follow through on owner and guest requests and/or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with all internal departments effectively and proactively including housekeeping, maintenance, and management.
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Recognize emergency situations and take appropriate action.
  • Able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature, with impending deadlines and/or established timeframes.
  • Assist owners in solving problems and suggesting updates or enhancements to their rental unit.
  • Assist all departments and employees as needed or requested (walk-in customers, maintenance coordinator, sales agents, reservationists, inspectors, cleaners, personal coordinators, others).
  • Purchase items for rental homes, as necessary.
  • Attend Realtors Property Management meeting and any other meetings or training events as required or requested.
  • May be required to assist with other Sun offices/departments as needed.

Physical/Mental Demands: Hearing, speaking, seeing, sitting, walking, standing, driving, bending, and climbing steps; lifting and carrying 25-30 lbs., reading, comprehension, analytical thinking, problem solving, legible writing skills and effective written and verbal communication in the English language.

Machines/Equipment/Licenses: Reliable transportation, with valid, active NC driver license, proper insurance, and inspections (as required in company guidelines); computers, copiers, all office equipment; Licensed by NC Real Estate Commission, active and in good standing.

Work Environment: Office work with exposure to outside weather conditions, as warranted, climbing flights of steps inside and out, fast paced, at times mentally strenuous; shifting priorities due to changing needs and situations with little to no notice, maneuvering a vehicle in congested traffic, walking in soft sand.

Compensation: based on experience and proven ability, determined by Rental Manager.
