Assoc - Homecare Intake - Full Time - Jackson Job at Henry Ford Health
- This position serves as the clerical support to the intake process for Home Care, Hospice and Private Duty Services.
- This position is the main communication between coordinators, intake staff, referral sources, physicians and inter-departments within Henry Ford Allegiance Health.
- Referral source interactions include, but are not limited to, working closely with coordinators, physicians, board and care facilities, other referral sources, patients, management and other staff and the general public.
- The Intake Associate receives general referrals from external sources for nursing, physical and occupational therapies, medical social work, and home health aides.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed course work in medical terminology
EXPERIENCE:
- One (1) year minimum work experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Customer service experience, preferably via telephone communications
