Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the overall management of employer accounts. This position represents the company in a direct, single-point-of-contact, relationship with employers. Leads staff and cross-functional teams to provide consultation and flawless delivery in all aspects of service and product, retention, and ensuring exceptional strategic account management to all accounts. Responsible for growing membership within existing accounts and for cultivation of customer and producer/broker relationships. Ensures that systems and processes are in place to meet the needs of internal and external clients. Develops and implements strategies and policies relating to account management. Contributes to short- and long-term department and corporate goals including increasing revenue by selling, renewing and increasing the penetration of the appropriate products and services to new and existing accounts.

Salary Range: $68,827 – $85,030 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and relevant work experience

Preferred: Previous health plan experience preferably in account or project management

Experience

Required: 1-2 years managed care experience including knowledge of insurance products/employee benefits. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and to meet time sensitive deadlines. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft products including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Strong project management and demonstrated problem-solving ability. Demonstrated public speaking and presentation skills including preparation and execution. Must have above average verbal, written and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. Experience interpreting contract terms and financial arrangements including capitation.
