This role is in our Macedon, NY or Williamson, NY facility.

WHAT WE NEED Summary –

This position will play a critical role in the company’s ability to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products to our customers by conducting low to mid-level intricate strategic sourcing activities supporting BRF’s objectives for a value-driven vendor partnership with a focus on risk management, quality, and cost efficiencies. Participate in supplier negotiations and prepare contracts. Partner with cross-functional team members to identify materials, quality, and service requirements. Monitor, track, and evaluate the quality of vendor partnerships through KPI’s and scorecards. Reviews market intelligence and analysis to anticipate price fluctuations. Manage processes, efficiencies, and costs by Utilizing ERP systems and software tools.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will actively gather information from third part sources, resolve issues, support new product development, negotiate outcomes, and prepare negotiation strategies for review and implementation.
  • Supports and leads process, analytical analysis, metric, and systems development initiatives from ideation through implementation.
  • Implement strategy and target to drive cost out of controllable spend (negotiable inputs, processing, waste).
  • Create competition within categories to drive bottom-line impact and risk mitigation by sourcing from multiple suppliers including RFP development, implementation, analysis of bid submissions, award of contracts as required according to documented sourcing strategy.
  • Participate in developing annual budgets for categories of responsibility.
  • Develop Supplier engagement plan based on category strategy.
  • Manage suppliers based on metrics collected via scorecard across BRF disciplines.
  • Understand supplier’s out-going quality assessment process.
  • Execute and manage all approved contracts. Ensures accurate maintenance of contracts in SAP to reduce invoice referrals and ensures timely review and return of invoice referrals.
  • Develop at least one new diversity spend opportunity in alignment with the corporate objectives for the diversity spend program.

Required Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in business-related discipline (i.e., business, economics, finance, accounting, supply chain)
  • A minimum of three (0-3) years of buyers, purchaser, or procurement experience

Preferred

  • Direct sourcing experience of categories related to a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess supplier management experience with industry assessments, financial analysis, negotiating contracts and cost modeling.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience overcoming challenges in as related to the procurement process.
  • Ability to consistently perform risk mitigation in the commodity supply chain.
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives within the procurement supply chain.
  • Analytical and adept at MS Suite including Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio a plus.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and safety regulations preferred.
  • Ability to independently prioritize and multitask.
  • Systems proficiency with SAP desired. Experience with an ERP system required. Experience with Business Information query Tools preferred.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Some travel for the purpose of supplier approval, performance and relationship management and quality audit support (may include international travel) required 15-20% of the time.
  • Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.
