Insurity’s Next Associate Corporate Counsel

The Associate Corporate Counsel will partner with the General Counsel on drafting, reviewing, and modifying contracts with vendors, partners and customers. In addition, you will be providing general legal advice to members of our team and assisting with corporate compliance initiatives. This role will put you in a position to work very closely with Insurity’s Executive Leadership team on mitigating risks and providing insight on all contracts and a multitude of other legal matters. In addition, in this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide array of our business operations, including M&A, internal process improvements, and partnering with all of our internal teams as well as direct contact with customers.

What Our Associate Corporate Counsel Will Do

• Work directly with customers, vendors, partners, and others to manage and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
• Collaborate with executive and senior team members to provide advice and professional guidance on risks and suitability of contracts toward company goals
• Verify all documents and contracts to ensure they meet high levels of quality and accuracy
• Support the development of internal policies and guidelines for contract management
• Support mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other growth-inspired transactions

Who We’re Looking For

• One to three years of attorney experience drafting and negotiating contracts with a strong emphasis on software licensing, technical services, IT, and SaaS contracts
• Hold a Juris Doctorate, active Bar licensure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven sound judgment and business sense
• Must be highly proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Where: This role can be performed either remotely or based in our Hartford, CT office

We continuously analyze and update our salary ranges for our roles according to market trends to not only ensure our employees are paid fairly, but also help close gender, race, and disability wage gaps. Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $75,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience.
