The BioLife Global DE&I Lead is responsible for leading the development and execution of BioLife’s global Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) Strategy. This important role will will be highly visible, interact directly with senior leaders and work with external partners to accelerate BioLife's DE&I efforts and initiatives, and ensure DE&I goals align with HR and company priorities. This role will be responsible for guiding and enabling BioLife’s DE&I journey, and will lead efforts to define and implement an enterprise-wide DE&I vision and strategy that aligns with BioLife and Takeda priorities, purpose, and values.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads the Global BioLife DE&I Council and serves as a liason to the BioLife DE&I Steering Committee
  • Works to seamlessly integrate DE&I through all core people practices to accelerate meaningful advancement of equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion in our people programs and processes.Partners with key stakeholders to lead the development and deployment of key DE&I strategies, including BioLife business leaders, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, BioLife University, Marketing, and other teams as needed.
  • Partners with BioLife Communications and Marketing to regularly communicate and publicize internal and external diversity, inclusion and engagement initiatives, events and progress.
  • Works to identify and implement Takeda and Plasma-Derived Therapies best DE&I practices and processes across the BioLife network. Jointly helps to drive continuity and awareness across Plasma-Derived Therapies and Takeda.
  • Performs benchmarking and reserach analysis to identify relevant DE&I trends to propose and adapt for BioLife
  • Identifies and implements DE&I metrics, key performance indicators and scoreboard
  • Proactively learns and gets immersed in BioLife’s culture in order to best identify and implement strategic DE&I solutions for BioLife
  • Helps drive education and awareness of DE&I throughout BioLife by organizing and facilitating training and DE&I workshops
  • Serves as subject matter expert and liaison for BioLife leaders and HR Business Partners in developing strategies and operating plans for attracting/developing/engaging and retaining diverse talent. Analyzes and present talent demographics and key data trends to support development of BioLife DE&I initiatives.
  • Proactively helps to embed DE&I into all aspects of the BioLife employee life cycle.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, D&I, or related field
  • In lieu of a degree, 15+ years of experience in Human Resources, D&I or related field
  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Diversity & Inclusion professional certification preferred
  • This position will require strong analytical skills, sound judgment, effective project management, and exceptional communication skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Travel up to 15% for site visits, team and company meetings, and conferences
