Duties: Athletics, Wellness and Recreation at SUNY New Paltz invites applications for the position of Associate Director. The Associate Director would join a dynamic and experienced team of professionals dedicated to student athletes and patrons of the campus and wider community. As a member of the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation this individual must abide by all NCAA, State University of New York Athletic Conference and University rules as well.
- Supervision of the Business Manager for the Department of Athletics, Wellness, & Recreation.
- Serving as point person for department Title IX compliance in close collaboration with the colleges Title IX Coordinator.
- Oversee NCAA and SUNY compliance.
- Facilitate student-athlete academic programing; sports supervision for various sports and athletic coordinator.
- Help facilitate departmental fundraising activities
- Assistant with administrative oversite of event management.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least two years’ experience in college administration
- Demonstrated ability to establish good rapport and effective working relationships with student–athletes, coaches and staff.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed to meet operational needs.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and deadlines.
- Master’s degree
