We are currently seeking a Biomedical Associate for our Biomedical Engineering and Sciences Practice in Philadelphia, PA. In this role you will work as part of a team to solve difficult problems for our clients in the biomedical engineering space.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and executing specific biomechanics, biomaterials, imaging, and computational projects focusing on medical devices for orthopedic, spinal, cardiovascular, diagnostics, and other disciplines
• Actively participating in Exponent's medical device consulting services, including preclinical testing of implant systems, analysis of retrieved components, assessment of clinical data, and application of computational simulations
• Performing technical evaluations, analysis, and testing on the behalf of medical device companies for the FDA
• Consulting in product liability litigation
• Publishing in peer-reviewed literature and presenting at conferences
• Assisting in marketing the group’s technical capabilities to clients and the scientific community
• Developing additional expertise and gaining additional industry exposure through our unique technical consulting services

You will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related engineering field
• Proficiency in mechanical testing of implants, biomaterials, and/or animal/human tissue
• Medical imaging experience in MRI, CT, SEM, or other
• Finite element modeling experience with COMSOL, Ansys, or other
• Ability to solve complex problems and design research studies independently
• Strong teamwork and project management skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication
