Job Title: Associate Sourcing Specialist

Location: Remote, prefer CST time zone

Hours: 8 hour shift - 8am-5pm M-F

Key Requirements:

• Ability to source and update/compare vendor pricing
• Be familiar with supply chain process, SAP, and Microsoft suite
• Attention to detail, organization (will be tracking materials), strong oral and written communication skills especially when it needs follow up

Joining the Sourcing Life Science team for direct materials within MilliporeSigma’s Life Science Procurement organization, you will help execute sourcing strategies, qualification processes, and strategic projects for inventoried direct materials. You will also partner with Marketing, Quality and Supply Chain colleagues to accomplish these tasks; you will be expected to develop strong relationships with these key stakeholders. In addition, you will be expected to represent MilliporeSigma professionally in all communications with our suppliers. An entrepreneurial mind-set and willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ is essential. You should be able to demonstrate a background appropriate to managing direct sourcing categories:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the Sourcing process, including requests for quotation
• Initiate and monitor tasks related to the qualification of new suppliers, including but not limited to documentation gathering, ordering of samples and updating internal systems
• Coordinate the extraction and extension of supplier data between our various ERP systems
• Prepare status reports for stakeholders for ongoing initiatives
• Support, as a team member, strategic sourcing initiatives
• Participate in global, cross-functional Sourcing Teams
• Work with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance to ensure quality in supplier base

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree

Food industry experience preferred

• 0-3 years professional experience in one or more of the following roles: new product development, strategic sourcing, technical services, product management in life science or pharmaceutical industries

 Experience performing in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment Strong relationship-building skills with key stakeholders Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills Strong written communication and oral presentation abilities Proficient in MS Office Suite Knowledge of SAP
