Overview
Under the direction of the division President, the Associate Vice President provides leadership and direction to the operations of the division, consistent with policies and objectives of the health system and individual advisory or governing Board(s). In this regard, this position plans, organizes, applies, directs, controls, and evaluates resources supporting the operations of assigned areas of responsibility. This position serves as a back up to the division President as needed. This position functions as an executive for the organization and must be highly skilled in building relationships with medical staff, community members and team members. The highest degree of integrity and commitment to the Health System's Mission and Commitments are required.

What you will do
  • Sets an organizational tone that attracts, retains, motivates and develops a highly skilled workforce. Ensures the right people are in place to carry out the organization’s strategic direction. Maintains an open, honest, trusting and collaborative relationship with leaders and peers.

  • Provides focused and effective leadership that ensures commitment to the organization’s mission and vision. Develops work flows and processes that enhance collaboration and reduce silos within the system.

  • Advances the organization’s culture to ensure the patient/customer experience is exemplary in every aspect of care and service. Ensures appropriate resources are allocated to deliver high-quality, safe care and service. Uses quality and safety data to drive process improvement and actionable decision making.

  • Communicates and leads the implementation of the strategic plan in a manner consistent with the organization’s mission, vision and values. Engages internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and plans to move the organization in the desired direction. Ensures the short-term and long-term goals and priorities are well communicated and well-understood.

  • Meets or exceeds financial goals for areas of responsibility. Sets the tone for financial discipline and the importance of financial balance to achieve the mission and vision. Explores opportunities to strengthen the organization’s financial position and organizational growth and development.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelors Degree, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (Required)

  • Masters Degree, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field (Preferred)

Experience
  • 5-6 years Healthcare leadership experience (Required)

  • Post acute and multi-site experience (Preferred)
