Audience Engagement Editor Job at Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association
We are hiring an Audience Engagement Editor to develop and implement a digital content strategy for two of our publications: The Bulletin in Bend, Oregon and Capital Press, a regional agriculture publication.
The Audience Engagement Editor will work directly with top editors to shape our news strategy, then roll up their sleeves and work directly with editorial staff to create compelling digital content for our readers on a variety of platforms, including video, e-newsletters and social media.
This position reports to EO Media Group's Director of Audience Development and plays a vital role in the company’s overall growth strategy and is a valued member of both the digital and editorial teams.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned journalist with a digital and social media focus and strong analytical skills. Knowledge of multiple platforms, ability to influence decisions without having direct authority, proven track record of implementing new programs and a collaborative nature are key indicators of success in this position. Experience with the Town News BLOX system a plus. This is a new position and will be hands-on.
This position is ideally based at our office in Bend, Ore. The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with an excellent compensation and benefits package.
