The Ideal candidate for this position has a proven record of excellent mechanical and diagnostic skills. The qualified candidate will also have experience working with a variety of makes and models, and will be capable of performing vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, basic repair and replacement of parts. Prior experience with heavy equipment, especially in a manufacturing environment, is considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle integrated diagnostic system using skilled knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement.
- Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including engine, air conditioning, transmission and brake systems.
- Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to fix them to both customers, front desk and other mechanics
- Keep shop tools and equipment organized, to keep a smooth work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $75.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
