Position Description

Job Title: AutoCAD Specialist

Reporting Into: Project Services Manager / Design Manager

Location: Houston, Tx

Job Objective:

The primary objective of this role is to develop our CAD deliverables to support construction of our temporary facilities and develop libraries and drawings of existing products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

· Development of AutoCAD floor plans to support event construction and permitting.

· Development of architectural egress drawings to support event permitting.

· Development of 3D renders to support sales and business development.

· Focus on data extraction to assist other departments with bills of materials

· Collaborate with Design Team to meet deadlines on deliverables

· Plan and execute a project and present periodic updates to the team

· Create visually appealing documents that convey all necessary details

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Independently seek out solutions to technical challenges

· Work independently with sense of urgency

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects organized

· Ability to adapt to the needs of the department and organization

· Fluency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

· Fluency in 2D AutoCAD, including working knowledge of:

• Data extraction and setting up and maintaining blocks accordingly

• Dynamic and annotative blocks and attributes

• Styles and line types

• Importing and exporting other drawing formats

· Previous experience with the following a plus:

• Architectural Design

• Sketchup

• 3D AutoCAD

• Revit

• Adobe Suite

• GIS Applications

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s or associates degree in Mechanical or Architectural discipline or relevant work experience

· Minimum two years of AutoCAD experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
