ndependent Stave Company's transportation department
is hiring an Automotive Mechanic to join our team. You will work hands-on to install, diagnose and repair multiple types of heavy-duty semi-trucks, semi-trailers, pick-ups, cars, forklifts, and other mechanical equipment.
We employ and consider a wide range of experience for our service team. We welcome veterans who can lead our team, as well as individuals who are newer to the industry and eager to learn and develop their skills.
You are Qualified If:

You are Qualified If:
- You know what makes a truck work
- Areas of repairs including but are not limited to electrical, brake, and air brake systems, suspension, tires, and hydraulics
- You have a positive work attitude and the ability to take direction and work both independently and as a team
- You have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain prolonged standing with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welders, cutting torches, grinders, or other machine tools
- Preferred experience in DOT Inspections/Repairs, State Motor Vehicle Inspections
- Verifiable work history in auto-mechanics required
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Other duties as assigned
