Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate core values of Goodwill Industries by modeling service, ownership, accountability, and respect.
• Create and prepare desserts in accordance with the existing menus as assigned.
• Create and bake breads to accompany different meals in restaurants as assigned.
• Decorate cakes and baked goods according to requirements or as assigned.
• Plate desserts for serving if required or directed.
• Create cheese plateaus to complement a meal; Creates baked goods for specific diets (gluten-free, sugar-free, diabetes-friendly, etc.) as assigned
• Inspect the quality of the ingredients and measure them for specific recipes as directed
• Ensure that the kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained in good working conditions
• To maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas while working and at the end of shift.
• Cleans the equipment and utensils and maintains the kitchen clean and in good order for proper functioning.
• Completes daily production and work as assigned
• Responsible for the execution, development, and creation of all bake goods for the Bakehouse commissary as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Culinary Arts or pastry Preferred.
• In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations especially with regards to pastries.
• Serve Safe Certification
• Possess strong communication, organization, and relationship skills
• Experience and trained in basic customer service
• Proficient in general computer knowledge a plus
• Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
• Strong training and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task

Job Type: Full-time
