We have an immediate opening in our Berwyn, IL bakeshop location:
Job Summary: To lead the production of Bakeshop products fresh daily, and to maintain documentation, organization, and cleanliness throughout the Bakeshop area. Bakeshop products include but are not limited to: specialty breads, cakes, cookies, pastry items, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Food Safety & Food Quality of all products.
- Responsible for reporting food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Work well and cooperate with other members of the line/department you work in and provide good teamwork.
- Monitor product freshness by checking items at established frequency.
- Review quality of incoming ingredients and supplies accordingly. Control all inventory and proper rotation of products.
- Maintain proper cleaning and storing of decorating station and items.
- Review all production requests and special cake orders. Check all requests that the product details are correct.
Education & Experience
- H.S. Diploma or B.A. Culinary Arts
- 2+ years experience in bakeshop enironment
- Knowledge of GMP, decorating skills, and Inventory Management.
