Banquet Houseman Set-up & Tear Down

As our Banquet Houseman, you will be a part of the newly renovated DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport. You will be responsible for the set up and tear down of all banquet rooms per the specifications of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and to assist the Food & Beverage Manager and banquet servers.

What You Will Be Doing:

· Create a warm and welcoming environment for all guests

· Set up & Tear down of all banquet rooms

· Transporting tables, chairs and associated catering equipment

· Ensure that all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set in a timely manner and according to the BEOs

· Assist the Food & Beverage Manager and banquet servers as necessary

· Transporting food & beverage items during a banquet or meeting event

· Reporting any maintenance issues to the Food & Beverage Manager

· Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food & beverage equipment or associated items

· Responsible for the timely break down of banquet and meeting rooms after the event has completed

· Maintain a clean, pleasant and professional image to the guest and wear the appropriate uniform at all times

· Attend all pre-shift or pre-conference meetings on time

· Review future BEOs and be familiar with upcoming special events

· Understand all amenities of DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport

· Perform all duties as required and other tasks assigned

Your Skills and Qualifications Include:

· Demonstrable previous experience of at least 1 year experience as a Banquet Houseman is required

· Ability to focus attention on details

· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, while working cohesively as a part of a team

· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Highly responsible and reliable

· Ability to work all shifts

· Ability to have fun

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

· Ability to handle Heavy Work

· Ability to stand, walk and be mobile for up to 8 hours

· Frequent lifting, moving and carrying up to 100lbs

· Ability to move quickly and efficiently

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Banquet experience: 1 year (Required)
• Hotel Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
