We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager for our sophisticated Modern Indian Bistro in Center City, Philadelphia PA. This is an opportunity to work for a restaurant that excels in food and Guest Experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A leader that has exceptional organizational and communication skills, a strong business sense and entrepreneurial spirit are necessary, as they will be helping to develop the direction and growth of the restaurant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Analyzes and recommends methods for improvements to contain/reduce costs and increase sales.
  • Monitors all food and beverage products to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
  • Enforces company standards, policies, and procedures, including sanitation, safety, dress codes, and cash handling.
  • Oversees training for new hires to ensure the development of their, customer service skills, company philosophy and menu knowledge, and point of sale knowledge.
  • Maintains a positive employee relation climate. Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluation of employees, including termination and promotion. Evaluates departmental and subordinate performance against established standards, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintains a clean and safe physical environment through timely repair and upkeep. Educates other team leaders/managers and hourly employees on sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory, and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
  • Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, liquor, safety, and employment regulations by clearly communicating and reinforcing standards and procedures to all employees.
  • Fulfills all record keeping and administrative requirements, including financial records, and employee files and correspondence.
  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with guests and staff.
  • Functions as a supportive and active team member on the floor.
  • Ensure Bar cleanliness and safety

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive management experience in a well-rated and full-service restaurant.
  • Experience hiring, training, and mentoring salaried managers and hourly FOH staff.
  • Ability to truly drive performance and success
  • Serv Safe Certification
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Ramp Certification
  • Must be hands-on and problem solve.
  • 50-hour work week including closing the restaurant 5 days per week.

· Must be vaccinated

· Must have a valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
