Barback Job at Union League Liberty Hill
Position: Barback
Daily Duties:
- Checking all active bars during your shift to make sure they have everything they need to provide excellent service.
- At the end of your shift you are responsible for whatever the bartender leaves behind and making sure that the bartender has cleaned the bar and merried their bottles to your satisfaction.
- Properly stock the cage by completing a liquor par list, bring all unopened bottles of Non-House wine back to their appropriate storage area.
- Before leaving the building the pantry area should be swept, mopped and all the tasks previously mentioned should be completed.
- If you are working with a partner it would be in your best interest to: a) Work together as a team. b) Make sure all the days tasks have been satisfactory completed. You will both be held responsible for the job done or lack there of.
- Paperwork will be posted on the board outside of the cage for the day. Read your paperwork thoroughly, this should include all required special liquor, beer and wine.
- Opening Wine For Events
- You will open 1 bottle of each wine (White & Red) for each table in the room.
- Opening More Wine If Needed
- You will bring extra bottles of wine to the bartender of the event (if there is one). If there is no bartender for this event you will open wine bottles as requested by the staff just as long as they bring you an empty bottle of wine or the captain authorizes it.
- If there is a beverage delivery that particular day, you are responsible for putting it in its designated area of storage before your work day is over.
- Make sure bars are set, including bus pans and all the proper glass wear pertaining to that particular type of bar.

Bar Tables and Dinner Wine:
- All paperwork (count sheets, chits) should be filled out completely and accurately.
- Count sheets: Group Name, Date, Number of Guest, Room, Number of bar, Bartenders Name & Signature.
- Chits: Members Name & Number, Name of Event, Date, Beverage/s consumed & tightly rubber banded.
