Duties & Responsibilities

• Arrive to work on time in appropriate uniform, hat, name tag and safety shoes
• Check and call supervisor before going to location for items needed for service.
• Cash out each patron and attend to any of their wants or needs.
• Communicate with guests on likes/dislikes, wants, needs
• Make specialty coffee beverages as needed
• Deal effectively and courteously with all customers at all times.
• Have working knowledge of menu options
• Use sanitary methods at all times. Follow all food safety regulations in accordance to Erie County Health Department at all times.
• Take and record temperature on food items, coolers and test sanitizer,calibration at the designated times
• Keep register area clear of clutter at all times.
• During service assure that self service areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• During service assure Napkins, Cups, Lids, Straws, condiments, and Utensils are stocked at all times.
• Complete all daily and weekly tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.
• At end of shift make sure all areas are stocked and organized for AM
• At end of shift clean and organize register area
• At end of shift sweep and mop customer service area.
• At end of shift wrap all baked goods and clean bakery case
• At end of shift restock Pepsi cooler
• At end of shift lock up the location after turning off equipment for the day
• At end of shift collect all new comment cards and bring to office with drawer. Keep board stocked with cards and pens for customers
• At end of shift bring register to office for a manager to count, stay in office while this is being done to discuss any discrepancies in drawer totals.
• At end of shift bring left over items back to kitchen
• Perform all duties as asked by the supervisor/manager

Essential Physical-Mental Functions And Environmental Conditions

• Must read and speak English fluently and have an understanding of basic mathematics, as it is an essential part of your functions.
• Report for work at the scheduled time in proper form.
• Must have the ability to accurately prioritize work assignments for yourself and your staff in order to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet service needs.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of weight and be able to place it at various heights for storage and service needs.
• Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Must be able to perform repetitive functions and repeated lifting, pushing, and carry items that weigh 50 lbs.
• When working in an environment that has equipment that may cut, burn or otherwise harm yourself or your staff, you must be aware of their safety and ability to perform in these areas, making you supervisors aware of any unsafe action or condition.
• Clean and maintain your work area at all times, scheduling special cleaning projects with your supervisor for down times.
• All cleaning duties at are assigned to you for break periods.
