Ro Health is a medical staffing agency committed to making sure you are set up for success. With Paid training and clinical resources we are seeking a Behavioral Class Aides to provide classroom support and/or 1:1 client sessions.

Behavioral Classroom Aide Pay: $21-23/hr (must have previous ABA experience)

Overview:

• Specialty: Behavioral Therapy
• Schedule: M-F, 8 am- 3:00 pm
• Target Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Carries out teacher-prepared lesson plans, provides instructional support and evaluates the achievement of the students with whom the paraprofessional is working.
• Works in close proximity to the teacher and follows the chain of command (Example: Communicates with parents about student growth only when under the instruction of the teacher to do so.)
• Knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics, as appropriate.
• Provide one-to-one tutoring of students when applicable.
• Provides behavior support to students when applicable. Uses principles of applied behavior analysis to teach adaptive behaviors such as language, socialization, play, self-help, and motor skills.
• Provide quality care for individuals with autism disorders and special needs
• Monitor patience and teach adaptive behavior.
• Work with faculty, and staff to ensure a safe, productive and healthy environment
• Maintain patient confidence and protect school operations by keeping information confidential
• Comply with policies established by federal and state laws, the state department of health, state board of education, and board policy in-health services area.
• Maintain certification in required areas.
• Assists in classroom management.
• Follows and enforces rules, policies, and procedures as set by the teacher, school, and school district.
• Assists teachers with in-class tasks, supervising students or performing administrative tasks.
• Engage only in activities in which the behavioral class analyst is qualified or trained.
• Respect legal and human rights of the children they are overseeing.
• Professionally interact with colleagues, members of the public, and clients or business associates.
• Comply with all applicable laws, and demonstrates ethical conduct.
• Handles other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• AA Degree or above preferred
• Behavioral support experience
• Must be able to gather references who can attest to behavioral experience
• Experience with Autism
• Previous school experience not required, but preferred.
• High school diploma
• Strong assessment skills
• Willingness to assist in students learning process
• Flexible with toileting support
• Lifting
• Toileting and possibly diapering
• Special Needs Children (preferred)
• Combination of classroom support with 1:1 (preferred)
• Minimum two years of higher education (for select clients or instructional cases)
