The CENTER for Human Services, a leading provider of behavioral health care services, is seeking a behavioral health counselor professional in following areas due to expansion: Outpatient, School Based, Case Management, Crisis and Urgent Care.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, education, counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, vocational counseling, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or related human service field required
• Experience in community behavioral health preferred
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Illinois driver's license with full coverage auto insurance
• COVID vaccination required

Responsibilities:

• Provide a variety of counseling and community support services.
• Complete crisis assessments
• Distribution of information on community resources to clients
• Develop close working relationships with community agencies, homeless shelters, therapists, physicians, and law enforcement personnel
• Possess appropriate understanding of high risk, severe, and persistently mentally ill population including diagnoses, client strengths, needs, and functional deficits
• Conduct appropriate ongoing clinical assessments
• Formulate and implement appropriate treatment plans
• Able to engage client in treatment, establish therapeutic relationships and set appropriate limits and boundaries
• Coordinate services with and collaborate with other agency staff and social service providers
• Demonstrate understanding of entitlements/financial aid

Located in Bloomington, Illinois, our agency delivers Psychiatric, Counseling, Recovery, and Emergency Crisis Intervention services.
