POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bell/Valet Attendant is the very first and very last interaction our guests have on property. It is the bookends to our their "Fairytale" visit. Whether they are dining with us or staying on property, our Bell/Valet Attendant holds the most pinnacle responsibility of exceeding expectations and delivering first-class hospitality and service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsibilities include: provide support to the Front Desk operations, greeting guests, accepting guests coats and checking them in appropriately, parking vehicles, escort guests to rooms, deliver luggage to guestrooms in a timely manner, open doors for guests entering and leaving the property, organize and store luggage and maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, public areas and front driveway
  • Be the exceptional first and last impression to all guests to ensure a luxury experience
  • Be a strong ambassador for The Inn in all of their interactions with our guests – those staying overnight in one of our 23 beautiful guest suites, as well as those dining with us in our world-famous dining room
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, and have the ability to providing top-notch guest service skills
  • Must greet all guests as though you are welcoming them to your own home
  • Be anticipatory of guest needs and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Must maintain professional etiquette with all guests and employees
  • Assist guests with directions
  • Communicate parking instructions to guests if self-parking is preferred
  • After training/certification: Be able to explain the 23 rooms on property and other details/history to a guest if they inquire and maintain the Forbes 5-star standards daily.
  • This position is labor intensive and involves carrying, in some cases, multiple suitcases and personal items up many flights of steps and parking personal cars in remote locations.
  • Must follow all disinfecting and sanitization policies

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

  • Must have a valid drivers’ license and be able to pass a background check and motor vehicle check
  • Able to drive both a manual and automatic car
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be willing to comply with the Inn’s grooming standards including visible tattoos covered by the uniform and no visible piercings. Men should be clean-shaven with hair cut above the collar, at all times.

Desirable

  • 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience
  • Prior experience at a 4 or 5 star luxury property
  • Ability to communicate in a language other than English, preferably Spanish or French
  • Certification in CPR

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs
  • Able to stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting and climbing
