Bellman Job at The Seagate
The Seagate is looking to hire an experienced Bellman to join our TEAM!
The Bellman is responsible for creating a pleasant guest experience for our Hotel patrons by providing excellent service during their visit. The ideal candidate will have experience in the hospitality and service industry, be friendly, outgoing, and work well in a TEAM environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests of the hotel, restaurant, shops, and spa in a pleasant and professional manner
- Assist with loading and unloading of guest’s luggage
- Park and Retrieve cars for guests in a timely manner, according to Preferred standards
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel services and in-house events
- Provide guests information about local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations
- Maintain and clean the designated lobby station and baggage room; standing ready to assist guests
- Adhere to all Preferred standards
- Clean and maintain baggage carts
- Deliver messages to guest rooms
- Assist guest with any other needs
Education and Experience:
- High school education preferred
- Knowledgeable in the hospitality industry practices and strong customer service experience.
- Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
- Knowledge of hotel property and the city of Delray Beach
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all Department of Transportation requirements
- Attention to details, good organizational skills and efficient time management
- Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures
Working Conditions & Physical Effort
- Physical work is a primary part of job
- Work is normally performed in both an interior hotel and exterior environment
- Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling and lifting up to 100 lbs
