Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Admissions Processing Manager, the Applicant Advisor assists all applicants within caseload through the application process. The Applicant Advisor is responsible for the quality control of the processing of applications and related materials for those applicants. The Applicant Advisor is responsible for clearly communicating application status and procedures to these students, and works closely with applicants’ Academic Advisor to ensure that necessary information is communicated to the applicant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides quality control with a thorough review of each processed application. Will be an expert on the technical steps required to apply via our Salesforce application.
  • Reviews academic materials (including international documents), personal statements, portfolios, and other ancillary application materials. Objectively rates applicants on each criteria to assist with the admissions decision.
  • Responds to questions and clarifies misunderstandings concerning the application process and the materials submitted.
  • Serves as a member of the Application Processing Team, regularly updating processing and correspondence policies to better serve the extensive quantity of applicants and to prepare timely delivery of completed applications to the Board of Admissions.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • 1-3 years experience in college admissions, sales and customer service
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize numerous tasks
  • Ability to maintain accurate, detailed and orderly records
  • Musical background and understanding of the music industry required; music theory and music production background strongly preferred. Familiarity with the Berklee Curriculum preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to counsel various types of prospective students.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of educational challenges for online learners
  • Bachelor’s Degree recommended
