The Role:

As the Production Supervisor, you will provide guidance and leadership to production personnel to promote achievement of plant objectives. Manage labor, material, and overhead costs within budgeted standards. Ensure finished product meets customer requirements. Develop teams that are self-managing, motivated, and innovative. Through coaching, training, and recognition, create an environment of continuous improvement. Provide development opportunities for team members. Attend required plant training programs per the training schedule. Deliver selected training programs as required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise up to 70 employees in accordance with company policies and applicable law, including Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years working in a manufacturing environment, Food industry considered an asset
  • Leadership experience
  • Champion of Change
  • Conflict management
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions both written and oral as well as read and interpret schedules related to production
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

Previous experiences that might be an asset in this role include the following titles: production team lead, manufacturing team lead, assistant supervisor, production management trainee, operations supervisor, manufacturing supervisor, supervisor in training


Physical Demand:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
