Earnings potential can be up to $19.00 or higher. The earnings potential is based on a base wage of $17.00 plus $1.00 shift differential and our achieve bonus program. Here is how our wages work: Based on your individual performance at 80% performance your wage with bonus equates to $17.94 per hour; at 100% performance your wage now equates to $19.55 and increases as your performance % increases. We also have bonuses based on our facility efficiencies (team work key).

Job Purpose:

Our Operations Team is in search of associates for our Charlotte Distribution Center located on General Drive (1.7 miles from I-485 and 1 mile from I-77. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional service to all Big Rock Sports customers by performing one of the Distribution Center’s job functions in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Desire to work and be cross trained over multiple departments.
• Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of distribution center operations.
• Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards, while ensuring that all work is performed with a consistent sense of efficiency and urgency.
• Work in compliance with all company, operations, systems, and safety related policies and procedures.
• Maintain an acceptable level of attendance.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 18 years or older.
• Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing.
• High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (limited heat or air conditioning)
• Minimum of one-year distribution center experience is a plus.
• Experience with various equipment such as hand-trucks, reach trucks, order pickers a plus or ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial equipment certification is a plus.
• One year of order picking with handheld and/or wrist RF scanner preferred.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write legibly and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• English language fluency preferred.
• Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays.
• Complete understanding of safety and risk management

Hours:

3rd shift – Monday thru Friday 2:30pm to 11 pm

All shifts must have the flexibility to work additional time and required Saturdays when needed based on business needs

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform work that involves standing, walking, and bending for a minimum of eight hours.
• Able to continuously lift to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
