Job Summary: Our company is currently seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Controller, this position will focus on customer invoicing, commissions, day to day accounting activities and assisting with monthly close. This role will have a strong emphasis on customer billing.

Job Duties:

• Create customer invoices, verify costs, determine sales tax and allocate commissions
• Review and monitor parts and material transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Process inventory and miscellaneous purchase transactions.
• Process commission reports and payments
• Assist with past due accounts receivable as needed
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• 2-year degree or more preferred
• 3+ years invoicing experience is required, preferably in a distribution environment, knowledge of cost accounting
• Strong understanding of sales tax
• Experience with ERP systems
• Strong organization and analytical skills, detail oriented
• Able to multi-task and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Positive personality and a willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ideal candidates will have a good attendance record, ability to work within a team environment, and a high level of accountability for their work, along with a strong work ethic.
