Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Proactively develop account profiles and business plans to position current and future products for success. Understand and breakdown complex accounts to ensure proper strategic focus and planning.
  • Consistently maintain up-to-date account and relationship mapping of all relevant community and IDN points of business. Establish, develop, and maintain a diverse set of relationships across all accounts.
  • Recognize changes in the market, develop and implement alternate plans to achieve objectives, and modify call plan/business plan activities accordingly and appropriately.
  • Foster teamwork and a collaborative spirit that provides a positive additive effect which enhances the overall regional and organizational culture of the business.
  • Develop and apply a solid understanding of appropriate reimbursement, contracting, and finance matters impacting the general biosimilar business and individual market and territory.
  • Participate in organizing and facilitating appropriate discussions around product, performance, accounts, customers, strategies, and general business plans with cross-functional teammates, i.e., account managers, regional managers, managed markets, and GPO colleagues.
  • Manage territory independently, with urgency, with honesty, and a positive, energetic attitude
  • Apply consultative and communication skills including planning, probing, challenging, aligning, and follow-up.
  • Plan, budget and execute resources provided by the Company appropriately, including exhibits, patient support programs, executive visits, as well as coordination of National Account Director and Key Account Director/Manager activities. Represent Company at trade shows, attend Company meetings, training programs and functions as needed.
  • Maintain detailed understanding of payer dynamics, including medical benefit reimbursement. Provide clear knowledge of contract and rebate dynamics across the portfolio market landscape with an ability to communicate in line with the Company’s policies, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Respond appropriately and in accordance with Company polices to all customer requests in a timely, reliable manner with information that is consistent with the request.
  • Perform all administrative tasks requested in a timely, accurate and truthful manner.
  • Represent the business’ products in a manner consistent with the organization’s ethics, policies and compliance expectations at all times. Comply with all legal/regulatory guidelines of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, the Prescription Drug Marketing Act, the Pharma Code, OIG guidelines, and all other applicable federal and state regulations.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and minimum of 3-5 years of pharmaceutical experience. Complex, challenging, and other relevant brand/biosimilar experience preferred. Existing relationships and account knowledge strongly desired. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills are a must along with the ability to listen, learn, and lead.
  • Autonomy: Acts independently and takes ownership and pride in the results, day-to-day impact, and overall impact to the business, teammates, customers, and organization.
  • Business acumen: Own and run territory at a high level. Understand data and sales analytics to position territory for success. Understanding of pricing, contracting, buy-and-bill, and general managed markets acumen.
  • Individual Leadership: Ability to quickly adapt to change, set examples for others.
  • The BFS should reside in their geography and be within reasonable distance from an airport.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization.
  • Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
  • May be required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Light lifting requirements. Periodic travel is required.
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English are preferred.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $90,250 - $156,750.
