19 Correctional Institutions Statewide (SC) / Shifts 7 AM - 7 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM (3x12)

SCDC nurses provide care in a variety of settings to include 24-hour and daily nursing programs, intake medical evaluations, a full-service psychiatric hospital, intermediate care services, a DHEC-licensed infirmary, geriatric care, addiction treatment, and rehabilitative services.

LPN Abbreviated Duties - Responsible to the Registered Nurse for nursing care and orders for patient care and treatment.

• Conduct health screenings during sick call using approved standing orders or making appropriate MD referrals.
• Administer and document medication as ordered by the physician in the correctional setting.
• Document all health care rendered on the medical records.
• Assist Physician as needed.
• Transfer medical records with appropriate documentation and medication at time of inmate transfer.
• Perform clinical treatments & procedures using universal precautions.
• Provide emergency treatment to inmates.

RN Abbreviated Duties - Responsible to the Nurse Manager for nursing care and orders for patient care and treatment.

• Administer and document medication as ordered by the physician in the correctional setting.
• Conduct health screenings during sick call using approved standing orders or making appropriate MD referrals.
• Document all health care rendered on medical records..
• Assist in planning and coordination of nursing services required to meet the total health care needs of the patient.
• Transcribe all MD orders from medical records.
• Transfer medical records with appropriate documentation and medication at time of inmate transfer.
• Perform clinical treatments & procedures using universal precautions in all areas of practice.
• Collaborate with other correctional professionals to assure social, psychological and security needs of inmates are met.

Hire Power Pay Rates

RN's $55-$60

LPN's $45-$50

Valid Nurse License - (SC or Multi-State)

PPD, Q-Gold or Chest X-Ray - Within 1 Year

CPR (BLS) - Current Certification

Drug Screen (Authorized & Paid by Hire Power Recruits)

Ability to Respond to Expedited Onboarding Process on First Come Basis
