The Dinuba, CA location of SeaCa Packaging, Inc. is currently looking to add a qualified and experienced Field Service Technician to our growing team.

Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Maintenance Manager. The Field Service technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the company's box making machines on location in addition to various other maintenance related tasks as assigned by the Maintenane Manager.

Must possess valid California state issued driver's license with clean driving record. Candidate must provide MVR upon job offer.

A bilingual (English and Spanish) candidate is strongly preferred, but not required.

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the onsite troubleshooting and servicing of all types of box machines/case erectors supplied by SeaCa Packaging, Inc at various locations throughout the Dinuba farming region.

Although this is a year-round full-time position the hours of demand fluctuate/increase seasonally. Persons applying for this position should be aware of the resultant increase in time demands of this position during the busy agricultural season in the region.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Leader in following all safety rules and regulations
  • Performs routine diagnosis, repairs, trouble shoots, and completes preventive maintenance
  • Recommends machinery and/or parts to be purchased
  • Responsible for completing work orders as assigned
  • Learn a complex series of machine settings that have interrelated outcomes as they are being changed
  • Able to work in a team environment and follow direction
  • Adapt to a changing workplace schedule that requires a 24 hour and 7-day operating schedule
  • Adheres to all Company rules and regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook and elsewhere
  • Responsible for not leaving job/plant premises when known problem exists without ensuring corrective action is in place
  • Responsible for lock out-tag-out safety
  • Performs other job-related duties as required

Other Responsibilities:

  • Obeys and conforms to all company rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook
  • Attends ongoing training and education classes as assigned
  • Possesses the math skills to calculate numbers as required to satisfy order requirements
  • Possesses the ability to work and communicate well with co-workers

Education, Experience and Required Skills:

  • Strong background (2+ years experience) in troubleshooting and servicing all types of box making /case erector machines
  • Advanced vocational, technical or college training preferred
  • Possesses the ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • Writing and mathematical skills and mechanical/electrical understanding are required
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational kills, ability to multi-task, and effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Has the ability to be trained, as well as take, and follow directions
  • Solid understanding of the use of hand and power tools
  • Willing and able to work, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, where applicable for position

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, walk, stand, squat, climb, reach, turn, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout a 10–12-hour shift
  • Possesses the ability to withstand dusty, hot, cold, humid, windy, and noisy conditions
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and situations
  • Ability to handle high stress environment.
  • Ability to withstand dusty and noisy conditions.
  • Ability to lift 50-80 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time
