PAY: $12-15/hour with possibility of overtime.

SUMMARY: Drives truck to transport goods to and from specified destinations by performing the following duties. Works closely with Warehouse Balers, Store Manager(s), and CEO/President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

• Pre-check trucks prior to leaving yard
• Complete required Driver Log daily
• Load/unload truck; drive truck to destination
• Greet donor promptly and cheerfully
• Assist in transferring items from donor’s vehicle to designated areas, if needed
• Refer donor complaints to supervisor
• Complete tax receipts, if needed
• Reports unsafe working conditions
• Ensure trucks are kept safe, clean, and neat
• Direct and instruct truck driver helper
• Must be able to drive any of Goodwill’s trucks
• Post check truck upon return to yard

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; six months related experience; knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions; ability to communicate instructions to truck driver helper.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions; ability to adjust to unexpected changes in plans or routes.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: State and local licensing requirements for various company vehicles or personal vehicle for company business must be met.
