Description Overview

The Brand Manager is a critical role at Perrigo. Our Brand Managers are leaders who have challenger mindsets. They put the consumer at the center of everything they do, and lead with a General Management mindset.


As a Brand Manager, you will have the opportunity to build upon brands that are loved by millions of consumers. Your strategic thought leadership and ability to work with diverse teams to develop and execute innovation plans will help these brands expand their leadership positions.


The position will require equal parts imagination and execution. We are looking for a candidate who with one-hand can thoughtfully audit a brand and has the boldness to be curious about the status quo; while on the other hand craft an insight-driven strategy and inspire internal and external teams towards execution.

Scope of the Role

Bring ideas, passion, and capability to help us grow and protect our brands with an obsessive focus on the customer

Leverage consumer insights to design and implement brand strategies, including brand and product positioning and messaging

Drive brand & product innovation strategy via strong cross-functional engagement with R&D, Finance, Creative, Digital Commerce, and Sales teams

Partner with Consumer Insights and Research teams to perform market research, ongoing business tracking, and monitor and analyze brand health and key performance metrics, providing regular updates and analysis and proposing modifications as identified by business needs

Ownership of the Brand’s P&L, managing internal & external relationships and budgeted resources to accomplish your strategic goals

Ownership of the brand’s multi-year innovation pipeline, ensuring key innovations and growth objectives are aligned with targets

Write and communicate briefs for use by internal teams and external agency partners that distill customer insights, business objectives, and success criteria into actionable creative & product development

Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a similar industry, MBA preferred
  • At least 4 years of experience in brand management/brand strategy
  • Strong candidates should have a deep understanding of brand building and passion for developing and implementing customer-obsessed, insights-driven integrated marketing campaigns
  • Successful candidates will exhibit a positive, can-do spirit, can prioritize for the biggest impact, and brings a strong team mentality approach to their work
  • Excellent strategic customer-focused thinking skills with deep understanding of the consumer and marketplace trends, and opportunities; experience using data and metrics to back up assertions of business value
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to synthesize information and formulate synopses, identify issues, turn insights into actions, and propose solutions in written documentation is a vital component of the job
  • Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job; previous experience at a start-up or possess a start-up mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact at senior levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to lead local/remote teams virtually
