Breakfast Attendant Job at La Quinta Inns & Suites DeSoto
JOB OVERVIEW: To attend to the daily functions of the hospitality dining area and to provide information and assistance to all hotel guests as requested. Ensure that the daily food and beverage service for the hospitality area is maintained and served to La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham brand standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Available to work a varied schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must possess the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Ensures safety by following security procedures
- Meet and greet guests as they arrive and offer choice of seating in the dining area
- Maintain proper set-up of dining area and ensure brand standards are followed at all times
- Preparation of food according to brand standards and ensuring proper temperatures of hot and cold items according to health code regulations
- Replenish food and service supplies and utensils in the dining area.
- Clean and sanitize all equipment in the kitchen & dining areas.
- Clean out all refrigerators and reach-ins daily; label, date and rotate all food items.
- Take inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
- Order supplies to ensure that breakfast is fully stocked each day
- Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand
- Restock items consistently throughout breakfast hours and for the next day
- Keep breakfast area clean including removing trash, cleaning breakfast area and kitchen counters, cabinets and floors
High school diploma or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience required.
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND NIGHTS AND HOLIDAYS
