Job description

Building Attendants perform work of custodial maintenance in our various dining halls on campus in our various Dining areas.

Essential Functions:
- Clean bathrooms, dining halls, and kitchens. Consistently transport trash and supplies between floors.
- Respond and follow through with written and oral University and Housing and Food policies, procedures, and work related instructions from supervisors, team leaders, co-workers and residence.
- Remove trash from building and take to trash compactor outside.
- Wash dishes, pots and pans.
- Strip, mop, and wax floors.
- Move and arrange furniture.
- Work in a diverse environment, encourage and promote diversity.
- Personal Protective Equipment provided
Required qualifications:
- Six months of experience in custodial maintenance work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of janitorial experience in a large institution.
- Six months of experience with vacuum cleaners, buffers, and floor machines.
- Six months of experience stripping and refinishing vinyl tile floors.
- Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through with verbal work related instructions from supervisors, customers, and co-workers.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
