Operational Services is currently recruiting for a Building Facility Coordinator to work in our Twin Falls field office. This position will provide facility and administrative support throughout the region and is responsible for maintaining data sources into reportable spreadsheets which in turn will be reported directly to the Administrative Services Manager.

We are seeking applicants who excel at attention to detail, enjoy a variety of tasks and are well-organized for multi-tasking and changing priorities quickly. Previous Sharepoint and Viso experience is preferred.

General Information:

  • Plans and coordinates equipment and facility set-up for meetings, conferences, and special events
  • Supervises the maintenance and security of a state building
  • Works special events and is subject to 24-hour call
  • Involves lifting and carrying approximately 35 pounds
  • Standing and walking approximately 80% of work time
  • Performs related work

Our generous benefits package increases the total compensation of a full-time (benefits eligible) Building Facility Coordinator making $15.82/hour to an estimated $25.23/hour.

Example of Duties

Facility Coordination:

  • Determines equipment and supply needs for regional facilities and motor pool
  • Inspects conference areas to ensure proper seating and table configurations, audio-visual equipment set-up, cleanliness, temperature and lighting
  • Supervises contractors to ensure smooth operation of facilities, projects, and moves
  • Establishes rapport and maintains communication with facility users to ensure all needs are met
  • Identifies or anticipates maintenance problems and takes corrective action
  • Recommends methods of improvement for support services in all areas of facilities
  • Monitors and controls the facility environment including HVAC, lighting, and cleanliness
  • Maintains regular observation of facilities and equipment
  • Monitors facility and motor pool use by programs to ensure conformance with established policies and procedures
  • Provides leadership and technical assistance to program staff for emergency procedures including fire alarms, electrical failures, elevator emergencies, injuries, floods, and storms
  • Observes, responds to, and reports unusual occurrences such as theft, vandalism, illness, and drug and alcohol related problems
  • Serves as resource for emergency personnel assisting in evacuating facility and maintaining order
  • Recommends security and safety solutions

Contractor Supervision:

  • Monitors contractor conduct and building operations
  • Develops and prepares project and moves plans, supervise contractors to ensure successful outcome
  • Supervise contractors to ensure adherence to DHW policies
  • Recommend changes in policies and procedures and provides interpretation to contractors and facility users
  • Resolves conflicts between staff, patrons and/or other personnel
  • Identifies needs and plans and coordinate with housekeeping, security, and program

  • Some knowledge of: supervisory practices; adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.
  • Experience: resolving customer service problems; developing written reports; operating and maintaining commercial lighting, audio-visual, and sound equipment; using tools, equipment, materials and common practices used in facility preparation including custodial work.
