HUNT, a full-service A/E firm is searching for a Building/Facility Maintenance Technician in our Horseheads, NY Office.

Qualifications

· We are looking for an individual who can work independently while at the same time possessing the ability to use common sense to accomplish the tasks required efficiently and effectively

· Someone who is self-motivated and willing to step in and help out wherever necessary

· Ability to push/lift up to 75 pounds

· Ability to climb ladders

· Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require

· Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task

Responsibilities

· A Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen

· A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility

· Some other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include:

o Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, such as window, door or wall repair

o Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures

o Minor electrical issues

o Applying preventative measures to the building to keep the potential of bigger problems at a minimal

o Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries

o Painting

o Cleaning doors, and windows of the building

o Pressure Washing as needed

o Upkeep and Preventative Maintenance on operational equipment

· Performs other work related duties as assigned

· Maintain Transportation to the facilities in designated area
