BUSINESS ANALYST II, MICROSOFT SHAREPOINT/POWER PLATFORM

Defense contractor involved with product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area. With a 50+ year foundation, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. SCOPE
The BA will report directly to the IT Application Manager and is responsible for providing Super User and end-user support related to operational issues, configuration & enhancement efforts and key projects. The BA will provide best practice solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and other Microsoft 365 tools. Typical activities will include analysis, architecture, design, hands-on development, testing, and documentation of business applications and process automation, often leveraging Power Apps and Power Automate, along with Forms, Teams, and SharePoint Online. You will work as part of a larger team focused on collaborative technologies, interacting daily with other team members and business unit stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The BA is responsible for working with the organization to help identify areas of improvement and to make improvements to SAP according to business requirements to increase process efficiencies.
  • The BA will be required to interact with all levels of the company to ensure the SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform and meets the needs of the organization.
  • The BA will meet regularly with internal customers to document issues, new requirements and effectively respond customer needs.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Applicants with 5+ years of professional work experience will be considered or
  • Applicants currently working on BA/BS will be considered
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying data collection and management using SharePoint Online and the Microsoft Office 365 Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 collaboration tools (Teams & SharePoint; including administration tasks such as creating/configuring SharePoint sites & managing user permissions)
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing workflows and processes to manage information using collaboration and knowledge management platforms
  • Support SharePoint Online migration and site collection development projects
  • Proven Project Management experience
  • Proven effectiveness in business process documentation, process improvements, and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail is a must.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience in an Office 365 GCC High and DoD environment
  • Basic understanding of database structures and experience authoring SQL statements
  • Experience developing solutions using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), web services, REST API, and the modern SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
  • Familiarity with Lean principles and the application of “Lean” in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
