The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for qualifying and investigating new leads, via multiple incoming channels (i.e., Web, chat, principals). The BDR interacts regularly with multiple levels of internal management and representatives from Palmer Holland?s manufacturing partners to support the overall strategy.

Essential tasks of the position

  • Qualify new and existing companies to promote to sales
  • Support Marketing?s lead generation campaigns
  • Initiates and answers sales inquiries directly from/to prospective or existing customers to promote product offerings, services, and capabilities
  • Track and follow up on lead routing
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Proactively monitor and respond to web site inquiries/requests, including social network communications
  • Act as a "Chat with me" operator via the Palmer Holland web site
  • Interact professionally with new and existing customers on a daily basis via phone, email, and other digital channels to qualify need and route to appropriate sales personnel

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in order maintain and grow business
  • Leverage company resources and sales methodology to research and build ?cold accounts? (i.e., adding contacts, sending emails, cold calling, chat, etc.)
  • Works with Sales Management to review and promote customers to vertically align Account Management and deepen opportunity development
  • Prepares well written professional business proposals, price quotes, and sales call summaries

Quality

Activities of the position affect quality including quality objectives. Responsibilities and authorities include where appropriate:

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, or quality system, up to and including when necessary, stopping production to correct quality problems.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
  • Document problems, steps taken for resolution and preventative action in CRM software and notifying all parties required.
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions in areas under your control.Note:
