Business Litigation Associate (2-5 years experience)
We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 2-5 years of business litigation experience to join our Business Litigation Practice Group. Employment litigation experience is a plus. Candidate must be highly motivated, responsible, and creative, with excellent writing and oral advocacy skills. Significant opportunities for advancement for self-motivated individuals. The salary range is $110,000 – $145,000.
Primary responsibilities in this position involve working daily with a litigation team to help solve complex legal problems for our clients. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Persuasive legal writing in court briefs
- Representing clients in hearings and law and motion proceedings
- Reviewing and interpreting contracts
- Researching and advising clients on various legal issues
- Preparing for, taking, and defending depositions
- Legal research
- Propounding and responding to discovery.
Qualifications
- At least 2-5 years of litigation experience; employment litigation is a plus but not required
- Exceptional research and writing skills, and a superior academic background
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, including contracts
- Interest in business litigation and love of competition
- Ability to effectively work with people, exercise sound judgment, and establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
- Must be able to multi-task, creatively problem-solve, and complete projects efficiently
- Ambition to succeed and prosper
