Sacramento area law firm is currently seeking an Attorney with approximately 5-9 years of business litigation experience and some labor and employment to join its Business Litigation Practice Group. Candidate must be highly motivated, self-sufficient, and have a high level of dedication and discipline.
Primary responsibilities involve working on a daily basis with clients, providing them with guidance and representation regarding business litigation. Duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Creative problem solving
• Taking an active role in case management and strategy with litigation team
• Supervising junior attorneys in litigation tasks
• Taking and defending depositions
• Representing clients in evidentiary hearings and law and motion proceedings
• Review and interpret contracts
• Researching and advising clients about a variety of legal issues
• Preparation of pleadings and written discovery documents
• Legal research

Qualification Requirements

• At least 5-9 years of business litigation, bankruptcy and/or labor and employment experience a plus
• Exceptional research, writing skills, and a strong academic background
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, including contracts
• Ability to effectively work with people, exercise sound judgment, and establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• Interest in business litigation
• Ability to multi-task, creatively problem solve, and bring projects to completion
• High-achiever with ambition to advance in firm
