Sparklight’s Business Sales Executive (New Market Account Executives) will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to generate new business and grow existing accounts within the SMB (Small Medium Business) market. This individual will also be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities, managing the sales process, and delivering exceptional customer experience and service.
What you will do to contribute to the company's success
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to generate new business and grow existing accounts within the Small Medium Business Market (SMB).
  • Performs customer support tasks to ensure we’re delivering on our promise to our customers – connecting them to what matters.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to close, including preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Establishes and maintains community presence, which includes attending local events to network with business owners and stakeholders.
  • Performs ROI assessment for profitability and submits for approval.
  • Works with Sales Engineer, Operations, Construction, and Internet Protocol Engineering to determine appropriate solutions for commercial customer opportunities.
  • Ensures product pricing reflects pricing structures set at the corporate level.
  • Develops and maintains sales plans.
  • Develops knowledge of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), networking, consultation, negotiation, and sales skills through completion of required/recommended training programs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements to ensure the company is offering competitive solutions.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • This is an outside sales role and will require substantial driving to meet customers. This role requires valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of 6 months sales experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively presents products and services to customers.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Up to 50% travel.
  • Familiarity with tools like CRM and sales reporting.
  • Ability to work alone and/ or collaborate with cross functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
