Business Transient and Group Sales Manager Job at Sheraton Boston Needham
The Sheraton Boston Needham Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, and motivated individual for the position of Business Transient Sales Manager at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality sales experience essential.
The responsibilities of the Business Transient Sales Manager include but are not limited to:
- Solicitation of new and existing accounts to meet and exceed business travel and group revenue goals through telephone/e-mail, solicitation, outside sales calls, virtual/site inspections and written communication
- Advanced level of producing business transient revenue through directly soliciting business via aggressive prospecting, negotiating and closing sales.
- Ability to book new business including group and business travel
- Experience selling to a variety of market segments
- Marriott experience preferred but not necessary
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Marriott CI/TY and Lighstpeed
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Office, Chrome, Internet Explorer
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Display initiative, perseverance and analytical skills
- Effective communication
- Professional and ethical
- Displays enthusiasm
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team player and ability to get along with others
- Available to meet guests which may include weekends
- Ability to read, write and speak English, with excellent grammar and communication skills (written and verbal)
