POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for leading a Business Unit in meeting strategic objectives as identified by Business Unit, while being directly accountable into the Executive Committee (President’s/CEO’s, VP of Operations, CFO and SDD (Strategic Development Director). Has Profit and Loss (P/L) responsibility and manages the Business Unit assets and resources to maximize performance.

Develop world-class manufacturing operations working closely with VP of Operations through the use of automation, QMS systems documentation, demand flow technologies, and a team of empowered employees to continuously meet customer expectations.

Maintain close contact with Customers to gain insight into their needs, as well as general market requirements for the Business Units existing products, and developing new products/market segments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Can include at a minimum the following: other duties may be assigned Executive Committee.

  • The Business Unit Directors support managers (ie. Production, Tooling, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing and Program Management) who all report directly into the VP of Operations. The Director of Quality will also report to VP of Operations.
  • To profitably grow the Business Unit consistently and annually. Works with current and potential Customers to promote and leverage company technologies, systems, products and services.
  • Establishes and maintains premier Customer Service. Leads by example.
  • Leads strategy deployment for the Business Unit concentrating on Lean Initiatives, Strategic Pricing and Strategic Procurement, Sales/Marketing Strategies, and New Product/Market creation functions to ensure optimal efficiency and scale of economy.
  • Develops a 3-year Business Unit budget plan with Sales.
  • Involved in co-managing the Business Unit within financial budget constraints and responsibility.
  • Maintains familiarity with competitive environment within geographical area of responsibility.
  • Represents the operation at the Business Unit and Division levels.
  • Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring,

training, talent management, and individual development.

  • Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
  • Ensures that the Business Unit conforms to local, state and federal government regulations.
  • Promotes Business Unit within industry, manufacturing, trade associations and local community.
  • Provide strong leadership for sales and marketing teams to ensure the achievement of sales targets and expense.
  • Set up and manage customer’s profile, develop potential customers. Join in making company strategy plans.
  • Looking for potential principals to widen business activities.
  • Cooperate with other departments to fulfill assigned tasks

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Unit knowledge of management and marketing principles, industry practices, company and competitor products, technology and service capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Business Unit offering and operational processes; customer proposal development, contract negotiations and program management.
  • People skills and management capabilities to work with all Business Units teams in unity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others.
  • Demonstrating ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using team effective problem solving/resolution skill.
  • Estimating Reports directly to Business Unit Director.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of Business Units products/services from selling/markets, quoting, program management and manufacturing.
  • Acquired customer market interface and sales method management skills. Proven expertise in selling to customers on regional and global market platforms.
  • Sales and Customer Strategic Program Management background

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
