Purpose of Role:
The manufacturing buyer will be responsible for purchasing goods to use or sell. This position requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage an inventory, evaluate quality goods, and stick within a budget while communicating effectively and timely.

Key Responsibilities:
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials. This includes raw materials and consumables.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Quote outsourcing of services (OSP) and have a multiple reliable sources (strategy behind it).
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required.
- Experience: 5 or more years’ experience in a customer service and/or administration position; Manufacturing environment preferred
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer skills required; Must be able to utilize an ERP system and Microsoft Office products
- Ability to create and foster excellent customer rapport and relationships; work cross-functionally
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to take on new tasks
