Perform duties required to purchase a wide variety of materials, items, supplies and services of a general, technical, and specialized nature for multi-location delivery and use.

Responsibilities:
Keep and maintain adequate records of all transactions required by Hager Companies policy and procedures.
Check all requisitions for completeness and clarity and for proper approvals and authorizations.
Process purchase requisitions as required utilizing computer ERP system and checking for accuracy and completeness.
Place purchase orders with established suppliers or new sources, working from approved purchase order requirements utilizing computer ERP system.
Review acknowledgements for agreement with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies with the supplier to the best possible solutions.
Resolve invoicing or other supplier documentation related issues for materials to be received and payments issued in a timely manner.
Record and report price, quantity, delivery date and other relevant data in MRP computer-based system.
Source various suppliers for the most competitive pricing and delivery to meet plant requirements.
Solicit and analyze bids / quotes to determine if the lowest cost methods are being used and the lowest cost products are being purchased for MRO items.
Coordinate with existing and new suppliers for improved pricing and terms of business.
Coordinate cost reduction projects within Supply Chain and work with other departments outside of Purchasing for continuous cost down activity to meet yearly targets and objectives.
Coordinate completion of SCAR documentation as required by the Quality Department.
Process all supplier qualification documentation requirements as directed by the Quality Department.
Follow up or expedite orders as necessary to meet production or other plant related schedules.
Other related duties as required.

Working hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Microsoft D365 ERP system preferred.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor?s degree in business management or in a related field or equivalent experience and education.

Experience: A minimum of three years purchasing experience is required, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills/Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships both internally and externally with suppliers/customers. Strong math skills to evaluate and compare pricing, bids, etc. Must pay attention to detail, and have analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Physical Activities/Demands: Normal office environment and manufacturing which requires the ability frequently visit production floor. May involve the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects of up to 15 to 20 pounds, infrequently.
