CAD Artist Job at ANN Corporate
About the Position
The CAD Artist will have a creative outlook and be responsible for the design and production of original art, colorways, and repeats for seasonal pattern and print development.
Role and Responsibilities
Collaborate with Design on the visualization, presentation, and communication of pattern concepts through CAD artwork
Translate pattern and color direction to interpret into artwork appropriate for the brand and client
Creating prints through original work or purchased files (contemporary and vintage). Cleaning and placing prints into production size repeats.
Executes color separations. Artwork must be created for design production with technical specs as well as for visual presentations
Develop pattern repeats and produce alternate color ways for developed prints and plaids
Provide production ready artwork for internal and external partners
Creates print boards for presentation seasonally and updates them accordingly.
Collaborates with cross functional team to assist with accessories design, including developing artwork for scarves, wraps and sleep.
Organizing and prioritizing multiple projects to meet established deadlines.
Experience and Qualifications;
BA Degree in Design or Textile Design
2-3 years of experience in Textile Design with strong sense of textile development process from conceptualization to finished design
Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time management and communication skills
Knowledge of repeat patterns, textile printing, yarn dye reproduction
Strong sense of color for the creation of colorways
Experience with NedGraphics preferred
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop required
Strong creative ability
Self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
The target salary for this role is: $70,000 - $75,000.
Actual compensation within that range is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and other job-related factors.
