Kamstrup has two production facilities – Denmark and United States. To ensure high quality and measuring performance in our growing production facility in the United States, we are looking for a Calibration Engineer to join our Quality and Sustainability department. In the semi-automatic manufacturing facility, we use many different types of measuring instruments to ensure a high performing and effective production process, which also includes accredited calibration equipment in the form of test benches.
With direct reference to our Quality and Sustainability Manager US, you will work together with dedicated colleagues to ensure a high level of quality and measuring performance throughout the production and in the accredited area. As a Calibration Engineer, you will have close collaboration with Accreditation and Metrology as well as the Calibration team in Denmark.
As a member of the Quality and Sustainability department, you will need to maintain and ensure continued development of the Metrology and Calibration function in United States. From day one, you will experience a dynamic everyday life where you are solely responsible for planning and carrying out certain types of calibrations in the production and accredited area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this newly established position as Calibration Engineer, your role will be to manage an efficient calibration program for all measuring instruments. This includes several interconnected tasks, such as:

  • Planning and coordinating internal and external calibrations of measuring equipment.
  • Continuous calibration, monitoring and improvement of measurement performance.
  • Quality assurance of the measurement capability, especially in the accredited area.
  • Quality assurance in production through collaboration with Operational Quality Control.
  • Maintenance and further development of the metrological function and accredited area in the Roswell, GA, United States facility.
  • Assist in coordination and preparation of external audits for ISO 17025.
  • As Calibration Engineer you help ensure that Kamstrup’s measuring instruments are calibrated and the measuring capability on the test benches is continuously maintained, verified, and documented.
  • Furthermore, you ensure that Kamstrup’s different types of reference equipment is living up to current/future needs.

PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EDUCATION:

You take responsibility for your tasks, where you always strive to find the optimal solutions and comply with requirements. Keeping deadlines and acting as a reliable colleague is important to you. You grow with challenges, have a quality mindset, and have great attention to details. You are eager to learn more about measuring techniques, calibration, and accreditation according to ISO 17025. In addition, you possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate and cooperate with external partners and colleagues.
It is a requirement that you have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within measuring/calibration of basic electronic parameters.
  • An electrical background as bachelor or similar.
  • Experience with different measurement techniques, including basic understanding of measurement uncertainty calculations.
  • Knowledge and experience in how to handle calibration equipment.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office programs – especially Excel.

Additional qualifications will be an advantage:

  • Knowledge about ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.
  • Basic knowledge about use of databases, e.g., Microsoft SQL.
  • It is a requirement that you speak and write English fluently.
